Paul Blair provided much of the offense. He lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 2nd of the season) in the 7th inning and lined a single in the 9th inning. Baltimore banged out 11 hits on the afternoon. Palmer(3-0) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 2 runs. Ray Culp(1-2) ended up with the loss. Baltimore scored big getting 7 runs off him in 5 and 1/3 innings. It was another victory for Baltimore at Fenway Park. Now their winning streak stands at 6 games. Earl Weaver was happy with his team's performance of late - 'They're playing solid ball right now' he said. 'Let's hope they can stay focused.' Jim Roland(1-0) contributed a very nice performance in relief. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 1 hit and 1 walk in 2 innings improving his ERA from 2.70 to 1.69. Both teams ended up with 9 hits on the night. Roland got help from Jim Grant who earned his 2nd save. The losing pitcher was Bill Butler(0-2). 'After the stretch we have been through lately, this victory is especially sweet' offered John McNamara. Now, we just have to make this the norm - not the exception!' Gene Brabender(1-0) delivered a fine performance for Milwaukee. He was reached for 8 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings. Milwaukee finished with 9 hits in the victory. Bob Locker gained credit for his 3rd save. Rudy May(0-2) was the loser. He allowed 4 runs and 8 hits in 6 innings.
