Jim Palmer tossed a complete game as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Boston
Red Sox 10 to 2 at Fenway Park.

Paul Blair provided much of the offense. He lifted one out of the park for a
two run home run (his 2nd of the season) in the 7th inning and lined a single
in the 9th inning. Baltimore banged out 11 hits on the afternoon.

Palmer(3-0) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 2 runs. Ray
Culp(1-2) ended up with the loss. Baltimore scored big getting 7 runs off
him in 5 and 1/3 innings.

It was another victory for Baltimore at Fenway Park. Now their winning streak
stands at 6 games. Earl Weaver was happy with his team's performance of late
- 'They're playing solid ball right now' he said. 'Let's hope they can stay
focused.'
