The game was decided in the 8th inning. After an out was recorded, Frank
Robinson drew a walk. Tug McGraw then threw a pitch that the catcher muffed.
Boog Powell then was walked intentionally. Brooks Robinson came up and he
drew a walk to load the bases. Ellie Hendricks came to the plate and hit a
sacrifice fly scoring the run. New York could do no damage in the 9th.
