Joe Torre touched them all and had 2 RBI at Metropolitan Stadium as the St.
Louis Cardinals beat the Minnesota Twins by the count of 3 to 1.

St. Louis drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning as
they scored 2 runs on 2 base hits. That early run support was enough for Bob
Gibson(2-0) and St. Louis. Neither team managed to score after the 4th
inning.

Joe Hoerner earned his 1st save. Dave Boswell(1-1) was charged with the loss.
He gave up 6 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.
